HELP! Can't start graphical interface
 

Running RH9. Always previously when booting it would start into a graphical logon screen (X Windows). Now during boot I get a message saying "Couldn't start Xvnc" and it doesn't go into the graphical interface. My screen keeps switching between the normal non-graphical login screen and a blank screen. I finally got logged in as root, but I can't really do anything because the screen keeps switching away to a blank screen.

I'm really a newbie, and I don't know how to recover from this.

Any suggestions really appreciated!

The best solution for this is to reinstall rh9 I was also suffering from this problem but after reinstalling it got corrected.
Or check you F86Config file .

u have maually edit ur XF86Config file

choose the correct vettical and horizontal refresh rtaes for u monitor after consulting ur manual

but if u r installing the same OS on the same hardware which used to work earlier then maybe u haven't installed it properly or some packae is mising
in that case reinstall.........................
