Help, Apache & Permissions

Dear LQ Users,

I'm fairly new to apache, and over the past month I have been trying my best to deploy a secure webserver.

However, my recent attempt to secure the server has caused me one headacke.

I attempted to change the /var/www/html user from root to wwwadmin <- user.

I shortly then realized that I was recieving 403 Errors whenever I try to browse to my website, I even received an error that ErrorDocument was not accessible.

What Permissions & Owner should I reset for my /var/www/html?

PS: Can someone please recomend a good website/resource for installing and setting up a secure Apache 2.x server?

Thanks Guys & Gals.
