Help!
 

hi, y need to do this (to configure the kernel(RH9.0)):

Change my kernel settings to enable kernel module loading, ppp, PC style hardware, and EISA suport and also you may need to add ppp suport for async serial ports and disable symmetric multi-processing suport.

How could I do this?

maybe just jump straight into a learning experience and do a first time kernel recompile :D
howto recompile your kernel
and if your still wondering well if i do this, then how then hell do i still enable/disable these things, well all i can say is you'll see and you'll do it...when you do the make menuconfig them things will be in the lists under their proper category and you will either select it or deselect it...

Well I'm going to start by pointing you to the kernel howto at www.tldp.org in which there is great documentation on recompiling the kernel, etc.

Also in the future, try to use better and more helpful thread titles. "Help" in no way describes your actual question/problem.

If your wondering why I pointed you to a site instead of giving you an answer? Well, you have to realize that this is asked all the time, the answer is already out there, thus making so members here do not have to write out instructions or howto's when they already exist, saving us time to go on to the more specific questions asked from others that they dont' have tutorials/howto's already prewritten and available.
