Get a Windows boot disk and put the fdisk utility on it.
Boot off the boot disk and type in the following and press Enter fdisk /mbr Found on http://www.experts-exchange.com/Oper..._20198826.html. Regards, Jens |
linux must have installed grub in the mbr. boot a windows boot disk and run 'fdisk /mbr'
^can someone verify that. haven't run Doze in such a long time. or you could check the fdisk help files in dos. /edit whoops... a little too late. ; ) |
thanks, by the way, it does work, i didnt even have to reinstall windows
|
Oh don't worry bout that. You WILL have to reinstall Windows at some point :D
|
lol, in the good old days of Doze, I had 2 partitions: one that basically had c:\windows and copies of a very small registry, etc. then I just had backup sripts and basically formatted the small partition every month, reinstalling windows...all my software/docs/etc were on the other partition.
It was a pain in the arse, but I didnt have a choice: after a month, windows would be unuseable. :D |
