Help!!! I have installed Red Hat 9 in my computer but I can't activate my modem. I have a 56K Zoom External. It opens the line, I can hear it, but doesn't call the number. What I should do?

I've got one of those and never had any problems with it

what are you using to dial?
(kppp or other?)
