Hello Guys.....


I am new to linux environment,Please help me to find C/C++ compilers and IDE for linux(Centos 5) and provide the steps to install these applications.

please use useful thread titles in future.

gcc / g++ is the standard compiler, eclipse is a popular IDE, although you might prefer just using vi or emacs.

To get started with compiling stuff, you're probably best of running:

Code:
yum groupinstall "Development Tools"
and that will ensure all the main compiler libraries and headers are installed.
