Hello from a noob and please help.
Hello,
I am new to Linux (essentially) and I have a question about partitioning my HD (want to dual boot with Windows to learn before I trash XP for good). I have used PerfectDisk to defrag my HD and it invariably leaves a little bit of data out of the main pack. My question is: When I partition my HD, will this little bit of data be consumed in the partition or will it be migrated to the portion of the HD that will be left for Windows? I will be using PartitionMagic to perform the partition process. I will make a few posts right now so that I can post a URL to a screen shot of my system after the defrag. I thank you for any help that you can give me. |
Please DON'T spam the board to be able to post a URL. It's plenty good enough
if you describe the situation. Cheers, Tink |
