Hello everyone I am going school to be a Network administrator so I need Linux
I am going top school to study Linux so that I can successfully land a job as a Network Administrator. If anyone has some advice to help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

that is the best way to learn. when you get stuck and google fails post with detailed questions and the great folks around here will be more then happy to assist. also look around your local area for a LUG (linux user group) and go to several of their meetings. typically they will have plenty of local knowledge. |

CompTIA Linux+ certification was the first cert I ever got. It wasn't particularly difficult but I had been working with Linux for years. The best things to do are to look at jobs you desire, look at the responsibilities they have listed for those jobs, then practice doing those things with Linux. For example, if the job indicates you must be able to install, configure, and administer Apache web servers and support SilverStripe CMS installations then practice doing just that.
It's impossible to plan fully for what you will encounter, but the experience is worth it. |
