Helllppp

Do I have to get the core? I have downloaded the 4 cd images for fedora 3...how do I install...I am currently on windows xp (GASP)
Please help!

Well, it sounds like the next step is to burn those CD-images onto some blank CDs. Use Nero, Easy CD-Creator, etc, etc, to burn them.
(Google can tell you how exactly to do this if you need help on this step)

Then put CD #1 in the drive and reboot. Your system should boot off the CD, and you can start installing it.

Good Luck!

before you do that, make sure your boot sequence boots cd drives before your hard drive... you can change this through the bios

And make sure to "burn image" and not simply copy the iso to the cdr.

Once you've burned them and ensured your bios is set to boot from the cdrom, pop in the first cd, reboot, and have fun.

ok

It just records the iso image...will it still boot??
Thanks, NOOB

Do I have to convert this?
Or stay the same?

open nero, or whatever... select boot cd, to create... drag and drop or select your .iso file and burn that. if using nero, once you select the iso it will ask if you want to burn the image.. select yes and your done once its finished burning. rinse, lather, repeat x3.

If not using Nero, your burner app will (should) have a selection along the lines of "burn image". That's what ya want. Don't worry about making it bootable if presented with that. The iso contains all the boot info already.
