HI. Yes, I dd, but thanks for asking. Sometimes the little things get forgotten. I even removed it and connected again.
Again, as I mentioned in post #4, are you sure the HDMI device supports audio?? There are some HDMI devices that are video only. I posted this a while back, but the commands may still be relevant: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...nd-4175463313/
