Question HDMI out problem

Hi im extremely new to linux, I am currently running 10.10 toshiba rv511 im just trying to get the output from my hdmi to my tv. Im kind of a noob when it comes to coding and stuff like sudo, ive been googleing and stuff and cant find anything.

Post the output of 'lspci' and 'dpkg -s ati' in CODE tags, and your /var/log/Xorg.0.log as an attachment.
