I guess this an improvment. When I goto network servers, I see my MShome workgroup, but in side that workgroup, I only see my Linux machine.

Here is the result of the smbclient -L linux command

Domain=[MSHOME] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 2.2.7a]

Sharename Type Comment
--------- ---- -------
public Disk
IPC$ IPC IPC Service ("Linux")
ADMIN$ Disk IPC Service ("Linux")

Server Comment
--------- -------
LINUX Linux

Workgroup Master
--------- -------
MSHOME LINUX

This situation seems similar to when i was trying to network a win 98 system to a windows xp system. The windows 98 system could see a workgroup, but in the workgroup, there was only the win 98 system. I resolved this problem by installing NETbios on the 98 system.

Could it be that Linux needs or is having trouble with NETbios?
