having trouble isntalling dreamlinux

when i try to install it i can get to the point to choose where i want to install it (which is not hard)
but i get cpnfused when it asks what kind of file systems....or something like i that.

filesystem refers to the storage format of your hard drive, in Linux it's usually ext3. Equivalent to something like FAT or NTFS for Windows.

If you are given a choice to select from list. I'd suggest ext3 as the safest choice.

It will ask for the partitions to be created and the fs to use for formatting the partition.
Create / and use ext3 to format it.
When you create swap you need to select the fs type.
