Having trouble installing Flash player onto ChrUbuntu on the ARM based Chromebook

I am on a Samsung Series ARM based Chromebook. I installed an alpha of Ubuntu 12.04 that was redisigned for the Chromebook (The download and install is here http://chromeos-cr48.blogspot.co.uk/...pha-1-now.html).

I installed it fine, got most of what I needed working, all I couldn't get to work was the flash player. I was using Chromium and I couldn't figure out how to install the flash player into ChrUbuntu. I found various sources saying to copy the flash player from the ChromeOS and then paste it into the ChrUbuntu side.

Is there anyone who could give some instructions on this? I love Ubuntu now that I have seen how capable it is on this netbook and I would love to have flash on it so I could use it full time, could anyone help? Any is appreciated!

PS: I only posted in this board since I'm new to Linux and this forum, so if there is somewhere in the forum that would be better suited to this question I'd appreciate if someone told me, thanks again!

Hi:

Welcome to Linux Questions!

The answer may be on this page, in the comments section:
http://chromeos-cr48.blogspot.co.uk/...pha-1-now.html
If you search the page for "adobe" you should find the comments regarding Flash.

Ztcoracat, I think the pages you link to are for installing Adobe Flash in Ubuntu on x86 hardware.

Your right 273-

Well; Mr.Blargable if you do need or want Adobe the links are there.

Sorry about that.

Turns out the only way is to extract it from the actual chromeOS on this already and then transfer it over. Thanks for all the help though!

Thanks to you for letting us know that real Linux is possible on a Chromebook.

I copied chrome OS flash plugin files (libpepflashplayer.so) to chrubuntu chromium-browser. But it doesn't work. Can you shed a light what I'm missing?
