having problems in xubuntu

i am using xubunutu.i have followed the following process to access hard disk drives-

$ sudo fdisk -l
$ /dev/sda2:/media/windows/vfat
$ ls /media/windows
$ sudo mkdir /dev/sda2

but i couldnot access the disks.I need to access the hard disks.please help me sum1......

to access the disk you need to mount it ?

mkdir /home/user/myDisk
mount /dev/sda2 / /home/user/myDisk
