Question having problem in Ubuntu 10.04 in applying extra graphics effect.

Hi
I'm having problem in Ubuntu 10.04 in applying extra graphics effect.
I thing I have done some wrong setting in compiz setting manager and now I'm not able to set to default.
Whenever now I'm trying to apply extra effects from appearance window it shows Desktop effects could not be enabled.
Help
Thanks

Do you have the proprietary binary drivers loaded for your installation?

With my old 7950GT PCI-E card Compiz only starts working once I've loaded the binary Nvidia drivers. I'm on FC11 though, not Ubuntu.

Hi

There is some hardware which cannot enable desktop effects. eg S3 Unichrome graphics chips. I suggest you let us know what graphics chip set you have.
