having permission trouble writing to system through samba
 

Hello,

What Im trying to do:
I created a virtual machine in order to manage all of my uploading and downloading through a VPN. I want Ktorrent on my virtual system to save to my main install directly(not the virtual system).

The problem:
I keep getting Permission denied warnings when trying to start a torrent with ktorrent. It seems that it cannot create the file over the shared drive.

What I did:
I set up a virtual system. Opensuse 12.2 and setup samba(file transfers work within terminal and file manager but not ktorrent). I chmoded 777 to make sure I have access to the folders.

Im not sure where to go from here. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think you should re-install ktorrent application as root and then try again.
