having major trouble installing/reinstalling joomla
 

every time I go to attempt to reinstall joomla my browser is still stuck on the last step of the previous attempt to install joomla and I have a devil of a time getting to be able to attempt a clean install. Any advice out there? And when I go to install joomla( does not matter what 1.5.x version I can't install the sample data nor complete the install( usually have a jdatabase error. I manually fix the configuration.php script but I still get errors. I run openSUSE 11.0 with php5, mysql 5, apache 2.2.x. I have no problem installing wordpress, zikula, movable type etc, but joomla gives me mountains of headaches

My suggestion would be to check on the Joomla Installation forum. There would be more people there that are intimately familiar with Joomla.

a search of their forum may even find your exact issue.

Joomla gave me no issues during installation so I am unsure what to recommend to you.

What is the EXACT error you receive ?
