Having disturbing colors with my scanner

Forgive my English but I'm having some problem with hp scanjet 5300c. When I scan with xsane it displays additional and disturbing colors inside the picture. I checked the sane-avision manual which is the backend. Please help me with this.

I've set it up like this:

1) did sane-find-scanner it gave the scanners id (manufacturer and product) also lsusb:003:003

2) then comment out the line in /etc/sane.d/avision.conf:
usb 0x03f0 0x0701

3) Add the line to /etc/fstab:
none /proc/bus/usb usbfs defaults, devmode=0666 0 0
