Ok im running slackware 10.2 with a single cd-rom drive, when im in anyother user but root i get a message saying:

Could not mount device.
The reported error was:
mount: I could not determine the filesystem type, and none was specified.

Pls edit the following in your /etc/fstab

/dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,rw 0 0

(the first two entries could be slightly different in your /etc/fstab)

Pls see if it works or not
