I have about 200 Favorites listed in Internet Explorer and would like to know how to transfer to iceweasel without putting in manually. I have tried to import through iceweasel it says that there aren't are no bookmarks or history files to import. My Os is Debian Squeeze.

Looks like that will work, but I'll have to put the hd back in my machine (Acer Aspire 3620) doesn't support usb boot. I can only mount the drive, by usb. If I'm going to try and mount with VB

I really haven't missed booting this drive it took about 3mins. to switch hd & 5mins. to boot. Anyway I installed firefox and imported everything now I have to reinstall other hd and try to import everything.

Marking this thread as solved.
I install firefox
imported all bookmarks from IE
install xmarks sync
configured to use gmail
works well.
