Hardware Settings?

Crumbs I have another problem, Im trying to change my hardware setting. Basically I just want to set my monitor to the correct model but when I go into Mandrake Control Center then into Hardware, and then in to the monitor setting. I click on the correct model and vender , a little message across the to comes up saying Please relog in Kwin to activate changes! Have I jumped the gun or does it does mean Once I log back in the changes will be made?
YES its another infomous newbie question.
Im running Mandrake 9.0
