Ok, I finally finish successfully installing slackware. I am wondering though, how do I set it up so that I can see and use other partitions? Right now, slackware is installed on hdb1. I was wondering, how can I view files from hda1 which is ntsf and has winxp on it.

I suggest you read some introduconary notes on linux

a good start is

then you'll know that there is no way to see linux partitions from xp

there is enogh documentation on how to set up mount ponts and mount drives

recently there are pretty good tools for partitioning like parted

I use the fdisk as I am used to it.

read the documentation over the linux system and the man pages of the programs that you are going to use

man fdisk
man parted

this is the best way to know your new os

I think for the sake of the newbies they should be encouraged to read more docs that are already online ...

hate people always asking questions ...
