Angry Harddrive disappeared.....HELP

Installing RH 8.0 from the Dummies book.
Even that is too stupid for me.
Somewhere along the line I made my hard drive disappear. All I get is Grub when I use my floppy.
I've tried to use UBDME to reformat but is says there's no HD
also fdisk doesn't work, PartMag doesn't work Druid won't see it.

Is there a way I can get my MBR or Fat tables back?
A good program to do a LLF?
Thanks in advance

Man, if fdisk cannot see your HD then it is wrongly plugged, broken or not detected by BIOS.
Fdisk can see anything.
Check BIOS first.

...but how do you expect him to partition if Fdisk don't see it? That indicates a hardware problem.

He didn't necessarily say fdisk didn't see it. He said it doesn't work. Just check the screen when the computer starts and see if your if HDD shows up when you first boot. U know that screen where it lists all the hdds and cdrom drives and other various things about ur hardware ..if it shows up then i don't think there is a problem with hardware...and i don't see how suddenly harddrive can die without actually pluggin anything out or physically damaging it...ofcourse i am assuming you didnt
Now occasionally i like to play kick the crap out of computer but i am guessing you weren't playing this game before your hdd died....

You have a good point. Maybe we better ask what Fdisk could do with it and what it said about it. Also, we might wanna check SCSI emulation. I just remember it from where I'm trying to figure out how to get CD Roast to recognize my DVD drive as a read device.
