hard drive search

from the command line how do I search the system for a file

Lets say I am looking for all the .asoundrc files on my system?

In KDE there is a tool to let me search.
In windoes there is the find files or folders.

I am not to the GUI yet in my install and I need to search the drive for certain files.

I want to search all folders, and sub folders..
not ls

Re: hard drive search

find / -name .asoundrc

you can also do "man find" to learn about the find command, or do find --help for the options.
