hi everyone,I am in the process of making a linux box. My question is would a 8 gig hard drive be prefect to un my linux box. I am planning to either run Redhat or mandrake. I also plan to run a firewall, webserver, samba and also a mail server. The system is a PIII 1.ghz with 256mb ram. Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks in advance.
If you don't plan on putting up a database
with a billion of graphics for your webserver
you should be more than fine. A basic Linux
installation with the things you list will
(depending on your distro, the package
selections or the defaults) consume somewhere
between 500 Megs and 3 Gigs ... :)
