Hard Drive for File Swapping

I'd like to install a second hard drive on my system, formatted so that both Windows XP and SuSE Linux 9 would be able to write to it, so I can swap files between my two operating systems. Is this possible? What is the best way to do it?

PS (My modem still doesn't work, if you have any more ideas.)

Format the drive as FAT32 and both OS's shouldn't have any problems reading and writing to the drive.

Should I format it with Linux, or Windows? How do I do this under SuSE?
