Hi I have a Western Digital 1Tb WD10EAVS Caviar Gp Hard Drive. It does not have an operating system installed but it have alot of my important files. The hard drive began making a clicking sound and when I boot up my computer I see my other drives and the sata slot for that drive remains blank. Can any one help me recover or fix my hard drive. Thanks

Every drive fails eventually, that's why you take backups. That said, a trick that sometimes works is to take the hard drive out, put it in a zip-lock plastic bag, and put it in the freezer for an hour. Reconnect it, and if it mounts, immediately copy off your most critical files.
