hang up at the time of booting

running on an ibm pc with usb keyboard n mouse
it hangs at the time of booting

at the point where
storage network audio ....
frequently it is not done ..n it hangs no activity further

sometimes it gets done after restarting 2 -3 times .
is it so due to usb interface ...
an yu help me on this

Can you use a PS/2 keyboard and mouse just to test and make sure that is indeed the issue? Do you have any other USB devices or other hotplug hardware plugged in. You might want to edit the kernel command line in GRUB and remove rhgb and quiet to see all of the boot messages.

i m gng to use the ps2 one n wil tell u the results soon
n tel me that if i will remove rhgb quite fom the grub
will i not get the boot messages ?/
