Hakin9.Live

I have the latest version of Hackin9.live from the official site; its a live-cd. I load it up and log in with either of the 2 predefined usernames; root or haking. Now on the official website it shows a screenshot of a GUI but when i log in it just gives me bash all the time Does anybody know how to get the GUI up

I've never used that live-cd, but if it supports graphics you may need to start the X server by executing "startx". Hope that helps.

To find out how to use linux, you can use the search function here on LQ.org, or Google, or read a (free) linux book (LINUX:
Rute User's Tutorial and Exposition
for example).
Hope that helps.

You are not joking! type startx in bash (black and white, looks like MS-DOS!) and press the big "Enter" or "Return" key.
