H and V sync rates Acer 7257e

Hello,

Since a couple of days I am working on a new PC. It's running Slackware 10.0 in textmode.
I want to configure Xorg but i do not know the H and V sync rates of the monitor (Acer 7257e).

I wasn't been able to find them with google, yahoo or altavista. The usermanual of the monitor isn't in my posession.

Is there another way to obtain those values?

Greetings,
Richard

A google search didn't yield much except a Acer2000.inf file (aka the Windows 2000 monitor inf file). And from that, this line seems to indicate the H and V rates:
Code:

[7257e.AddReg]
HKR,"MODES\1280,1024",Mode1,,"30.0-70.0,50.0-110.0,+,+"

If the monitor is fairly recent, then it can supply these values itself using a DDc probe. (Although some monitors are known to lie about their own capabilities).

With XFree86, one has the option of running
Code:

X --probeonly
to try and determine values like this.

Also, from Googling: see http://www.redhat.com/archives/redha.../msg00313.html
