gzip compressed files


How can one open this kind of files ?
my machine is telling me "nautilus has no installed viewer capable of displaying "/home/jamaso/tmp/Black E. etheme"

well, a gzip file you must extract first.... have you done that yet ? in the file manager you usually can't open them like other files or packages or rpm's...

And you can use midnight commander (mc) to view the contents of tarballs (.tgz, .tar.gz).

also, make sure u have gzip installed. if so, do a man gzip (at the console) or lookup some other documentation

thanks , just had to copy file into etheme directory and they installed themselves .
