guset can ping the host but host can't ping the guest .


I am using the bridge connection type in both the guest os (RHEL5 , xp) . My guest os windows xp can ping my guest os linux and host system windows xp , but my this guest os winxp can't ping from any other system neither other guest os (RHEL5) nor the host system (Winxp) .
pleaaase help me ..

I am using the vmware workstation 6.
when i ping the guest os (winxp) from the guest os (RHEL5) it shows nothing..
while the other guest os (RHEL5) can ping all and it can be ping from others as well(host and guest)..
only having issue with the guest os (winxp)

whenever i ping ...

# ping 192.168.0.105




it losts all the packages

Ping is a poor test to use.

Your first test of one ping to another and passed is actually a two way test. You did not need to go the other way at all ever never.

Ping tends to be blocked. Firewall or some port issue but you know the thing works.
