Like someone else mentioned in another forum, Fedora 10 is rather outdated and it will be difficult to install new software. Additionally the only way I know that you could install VLC without an internet connection is to download the RPM using another PC and transport it to the Fedora PC using a USB thumb drive or some other medium. Then it will be as simple as double clicking on the RPM and clicking "Install"... assuming there are no unmet dependencies on your system (chances are there will be though).

Still, it's worth a shot.

http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/...ble.noarch.rpm

That's the direct download link for VLC for Fedora 10.

I think Fedora 10 is too old.
You may have problems getting the 49 dependencies fit together.

But the Fedora method is http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-fedora.html

Install the repo
rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/...ble.noarch.rpm
... like said by @xjonquilx

And then : # yum install vlc

( Old versions like Fedora10 are mentioned too in the "videolan link".)

..
