guide to install a Brother network printer MFC-J630W driver
I am new to linux and have debian set up and working. I can't find or understand how to to install a Brother MFC-J630W network driver.
I can see my network printer. Now I would appreciate assistance on installing the driver.

If you are using a newer version of Debian, the Brother driver may be included. I know that with my Debian 8.2 install, it was.
Try connecting your printer, start it up and see if Debian finds it and asks to print a test page, it may just work.

This web site looks like it will work for me, if ??
1) I know where to put the drivers. I think they should be installed under the sub directory of places, called /printer driver.
2) What does dpkg mean or stand for? Where do I put the code shown? A directory or sub-directory(of what)??
3) What do I do to make steps 1 & 2 work?
I would appreciate additional suggestions on the next few steps needed.
1. It does not matter where you save downloaded drivers, they will be copied into correct locations during install.
2. dpkg is a low level tool for Debian package management. You open a terminal and navigate into directory where the downloaded deb files are and you execute the command shown.
3. Start doing it, if you get any errors stop and let us know what was the error.
Thanks for your comments. I am knowledgeable about computer programing, but I have not had programing experience. My current problem is how to place the Brother Debian programs corrections to the right place. I tried to find a place to install them, but was not successful.

If I am asking more of your time than than you can afford. Please suggest another person/place that I may go to if you can.
OK ... did you download the deb packages from Brother site and saved them in your hard drive? I have really hard time understanding what you are talking about.
