Guidance

I am new to the whole linux and I am loving it. I am also getting in to programming and I am learning python and perl. Do you have any suggestions or can you guide me to some resources.

The official Python Documentation is a good place to start. Also, you might want to take a look at Dive Into Python.

for Perl:
http://www.perlmonks.org/ for all things Perl
http://perldoc.perl.org/ Perl docs, inc tutorials
http://search.cpan.org/ Perl pre-written modules if you want to avoid re-inventing the wheel

This might sound too old fashioned, but there are lots of good books out there which can give you some ideas. Personally, for various reasons, I actually like the "... for Dummies" books. :)
