gui on server

Please assist me set up a gui environment on my 9.10 server
The command sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop returns the error message

couldn't find package

(a) 9.10 reached its End of Life over half a year ago and is not supported. Upgrading to 10.04 is strongly advised.

(b) Post your apt's sources.list
