Angry Gui

[FONT=arial][SIZE=3]
I installed Mandrake 9.1 and I put the resolution at 1400x#, but that was a rectangle (i didn't like it) so i put it into 1280x1024 bbut now i can't get it to show the GUI and it syas " Loading interface ET0" "[Faild]". I formated both linux AND Windows put XP back on and now Linux is still telling me the same thing. But i did have the GUI running until i changed the resolution down.

edit /etc/X11/XF86Config in the screen section, and change your resolution way down to somethin like 640x480 and just fiddle with it using that as your safegaurd until you can get somethin you like.
