gtkam 0.1.7 & Relisys Dimera 3500

I am using a Relysis Dimera 3500 under gtkam 0.1.7 in Redhat 9.0.
In trying to add the camera (serial connection) I get "no camera detected" I have tried on both serial ports same result. This camera is
listed under cameras that gtkam 0.1.7 will work with. Any help would be appreciated. If this help includes the command line please step by step Thanks Joe47
