Gtk-gnutella Installation Walk-thru


I AM 100% GREEN TO LINUX BUT I AM ENJOYING IT SO FAR. CAN ANYONE PLEASE WALK-THRU THE GTK-GNUTELLA INSTALLATION PROCESS SO THAT I CAN GET USE THE PROGRAM. SO FAR I HAVE DOWNLOADED THE FILE FROM THE WEBSITE AND EXTRACTED THE FILES INTO A FOLDER. I KNOW I NEED TO GO INTO THE SHELL AND ENTER...SU,PASSWORD AND THEN WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ? THANKS TO ANYONE FOR ASSISTANCE IN ADVANCE.

DON'T SHOUT. Open a terminal and cd into the folder (type cd then drag and drop the folder into the terminal) then enter
./Configure
then answer all the questions. I would suggest some choices you could make but you've not told us what distro/desktop/processor you're using so I don't have anything to go on.
Then type
make
su
make install
