gtk+2.24.10 installation

While installing gtk+-2.24.10 in SUSE 10, i am getting the below error messages.

/opt/gimp_dump/gtk+-2.24.10/gdk/.libs/libgdk-x11-2.0.so: undefined reference to `XCompositeReleaseOverlayWindow'
/opt/gimp_dump/gtk+-2.24.10/gdk/.libs/libgdk-x11-2.0.so: undefined reference to `XCompositeGetOverlayWindow'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[4]: *** [gtk-query-immodules-2.0] Error 1

Also i checked whether xcomposite module is loaded or not. But it is loaded,

kor319496:/opt/gimp_dump/gtk+-2.24.10 # ldd /opt/gimp_dump/gtk+-2.24.10/gdk/.libs/libgdk-x11-2.0.so | grep -i xcomposite
libXcomposite.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib64/libXcomposite.so.1 (0x00002b9db2a9c000)

Any suggestion on this.

Regards,
Mugunthan R

"undefined reference" frequently means that the installation process needs to see header files, which are often in the .dev libraries for the package being installed; not in the library executable.

Check to see that you have the X11 Composite Dev library installed.

Thanks for the replay, i am using SLES 10 SP3. in OS media there is no file available like "X11 Composite Dev". I checked that library file rpm,

server:/root # rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/lib64/libXcomposite.so.1
xorg-x11-libs-6.9.0-50.69.31

Also "xorg-x11-devel-6.9.0-50.69.31" RPM already install on this server.
