GTK 1.2 Changing labels on the fly

Trying to build a scoreboard on Glade/GTK, want numbers to change as a goal is made. Can I do this with labels? Also, how do you get Alfreddrake font to work? Cheers.

to change it whenever, just do -

widget->set_text("blah");

that's perl though.... chose your equivalent
