Grub won't start after reinstalling XP

Hi everyone, I am a new Linux user. I am using ubuntu alongside with Windows XP. A few days ago I reinstalled my xp and after reboot, the grub won't start. Is there any ways to make grub start again without reinstalling ubuntu? Thanks!

You have to reinstall grub to the MBR because XP overwrote it when you abused you innocent machine by viciously inserting heinous diseased legacy malware into it's drive. <ahem>

Go live with Ubuntu, open a root terminal, and enter

fdisk -l (to find out what your hdd is called)
grub-install sdx

And once more you will be joined in sweet linux goodness.
