In legacy mode, a ps2 mouse works fine, but it won't work with my USB

When i tried enhanced mode it hangs on the following line:

hde: attached ide-disk driver

I did change grub and fstab to direct to hde2 (the second partion on my Raptor where Redhat is).
Do I need to recompile with ide as a module? and if so how do i do it?

*so close, and yet, so far...*

Make sure mouse support(under input core), USB full HID support and hid input layer support is compiled, if you selected them as modules make sure they're loaded(mousedev. hid-core, hid-input
I think)
As for the enhanced mode, I dont have much experience with serial ATA drives but if it worked before(at least passed the stage of detecting the drives) then it should be a kernel configuration issue.

I adjusted some stuff with the kernel and got it to boot in "Enhanced Mode", but I am still unable to use my USB mouse. Could you elaborate more on how to install the modules to detect the mouse?
