Grub Rescue
I have removed Ubuntu partitions from a dual-boot installation with Seven but despite running Windows repair the machine on reboot only provides a 'grub rescue' line with a prompt.
How can I get Windows to directly boot up? (I did try to 'uninstall Ubuntu' through Windows first but that failed so I deleted the Linux partitions instead. This is all the result of an Ubuntu 12.04 upgrade gone horribly wrong. |
boot from the Windows DVD, go through the menus till you get to the repair option.
Choose command prompt and type bootsect /nt60 C: |
Oops, should have dropped the asterisk.... I'm a newbie all right. Thanks Awesome!
