Grub Rescue
I have removed Ubuntu partitions from a dual-boot installation with Seven but despite running Windows repair the machine on reboot only provides a 'grub rescue' line with a prompt.
How can I get Windows to directly boot up? (I did try to 'uninstall Ubuntu' through Windows first but that failed so I deleted the Linux partitions instead. This is all the result of an Ubuntu 12.04 upgrade gone horribly wrong.

boot from the Windows DVD, go through the menus till you get to the repair option.

Choose command prompt and type

bootsect /nt60 C:
