Grub Reinstall Help

I have installed Linux XP,
After installation my windows became currupt.
After reinstalltion of windows Grub disappear(i can not enter in Linux)
with yhe help of linux rescue i reinstall the grub (i use following commands)
grub> find /boot/grub/stage1
(hd0,2)
grub> root(hd0,2)
grub> setup(hd0,2)
#process completed
grub> quit

but after this process grub does not reinstall

plz help

boot your system with a rescue cd. cd within /mnt/sysimage/

/sbin/grub-install /dev/hda

With tis command;

Code:

grub> setup(hd0,2)

You installed grub to the first hard drive 3rd partition as grub counts like 0,1,2.
If you want to install grub to the MBR;

Code:

grub> setup(hd0)
