grub> Minimal BASH-Like line commands

I use Fedora 14 and have problems with graphic mode. What commands i should use in "grub>" to get single mode to repair my installation. This appears after try to change installt packages.

Please define more precisely what problems you're having with graphic mode?
Does it start up at all? Any error messages? Does it boot to the command line or does the boot sequence hang?

A quick Google search on "fedora grub single user mode" or "grub single user mode" turned up
several useful links that tell how you can boot single user mode from grub.

You could also try to repair the installation by trying to boot from the install CD/DVD.

when you see the boot menu, edit the kernel line by adding " 3" to the end of kernel line,
this will boot fedora into run-level 3 which is text only command line

Thank you for answering. Your typs was helpfull. By trying to remove and installing packages, i lose shortkuts and applications and by restarting the boot sequence hang. I don't have a solution yet, but i learn mutch more about booting!

Thank you for the tip. I became the message 'boot has failed, sleeping forever". What can i do and who?

Try booting to runlevel 1 (single user mode) rather than 3.
Any error messages before the "boot has failed" message (ie indicating a reason why it fails?).
Is the "quiet" boot option used? If it is, then try removing that to get more clues.
