grub lock up

Hello,

I have a p100 machine. I installed RH8 on the machine but had trouble with low memory (32 meg). It seemed to install ok but I could never actually use it. I recently upgraded the machine to 64 meg and now when I turn it on, it goes to what appears to be a grub prompt (just the work grub) but I can't type in any commands. I set my bios to boot from the cd-rom hoping I could just install again but that doesn't work. The machine has two hard drives...not sure if that matters or not. How can I use the computer or install again??
I can't make a boot disk because I can't get past that prompt.

Thanks,
Eddie
