grub loader
 

I attempted to load the mandrake 9.0 ISO Image and recieved the following message as it attempted to install from cd-rom

Grub loading stage1.5.

followed by

Grub Loading, Please wait...
Error 22

again, any info would be helpful here

From the Grub manual:

22 : No such partition
This error is returned if a partition is requested in the device part of a device- or full file name which isn't on the selected disk.

Basically, your /boot/grub/menu.lst file has a bad entry or bad reference to a partition.

Were you successful in installing Mandrake and, if so, do you remember where, in the Grub setup step, Grub tried to identify the partitions for Linux and Windows (if you are dual booting)?

no i dont seem to be able to get it to go
I installed ark linux, after i formatted the drive.

the install went great
but mandrake will not go

oh well..back to the drawing board
