grub.conf

I can't find the grub file to edit it. I've looked in /boot/grub and in /etc

for it, where else might it be hiding?

I'm running Mandrake 9.2

Thanks
David

If you just need a temporary change you can highlight the one you need to change and hit "e" twice to edit the line. Hit return afterwards then "b" to boot that changed line. All that is while you are at the grub bootloader when first booting of course.

Hope that helps.

That's awesome thanks alot!

I'm running a Presario 2100 laptop, and when shutting down, it won't kill the power itself. I thought that mabye acpi was disabled, but it wasn't it was acpi=int

So I'll keep looking, any ideas?
